Hey! I'm Timur (or Tim).
With over a decade of experience in the security integration field, I've worked with industry leaders like Siemens and Johnson Controls, serving clients across Canada. My background covers the full spectrum of our industry: access control, intrusion detection, surveillance systems, and the critical infrastructure that connects them all.
The Physical Layer was born from a simple observation: our industry lacks the kind of insightful, fast-moving newsletters that keep professionals in other tech sectors ahead of the curve. While AI and software have dynamic, insight-driven publications, physical security has been stuck with dry product announcements and vendor press releases.
This newsletter is here to change that. Each issue delivers strategic insights, emerging trends, and practical knowledge to help security integrators thrive.
